Kate Millett
American feminist writer, activist, and artist. Millett became known worldwide for her groundbreaking book “Sexual Politics”, published in 1970. The work has been called the “Bible of women’s liberation”.
Every death in war is not an abstraction.
These are people. These are losses. This is a choice we did not agree to.
When we remember, we do not allow indifference to become the norm.
Memory lives on in our actions:
– in the language we use to think;
– in the donations that can save lives;
– in the words that are not afraid to call war what it is.
None of these gestures will change the past. But they can influence the future.
We honour our defenders and all those who died as a result of russian aggression.
